• Check your Apple computer supports audio output via Mini DisplayPort.
   
• MacOS setup instructions:
  • plug-in adapter.
  • open Sound (in System Preferences).
  • select your Audio output device.
     
• Note -- Apple released MacBook Pro models after April 2010 with audio output via the Mini DisplayPort.
• MacBooks purchased prior to April 2010 do not transmit audio (via the Mini DisplayPort).
  • use a 3.5mm audio jack cable instead.
     
• HDMI cable (sold separately).
